- 1. Fill out the application form: Please visit the [Chinese Visa Online Application Site](https://cova.mfa.gov.cn) to complete the form online, and select the appropriate embassy or consulate to submit your documents. Ensure that the information provided is true, accurate, and complete.
- 2. Prepare application materials: Prepare the corresponding core and other common materials.
- 3. Submit materials: According to the appointment time, submit the printed full set of paper application forms and materials within the designated time to the visa office (contact our co-workers for addresss).
- 4. Visa collection: When collecting the visa, you can pay the application fee using a credit card (Master or Visa) or a cashier’s check.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Information errors: If there are errors in the basic information on the COVA visa application form, it must be refilled. Other information can be corrected according to the guidance of the on-site staff.
- Passport validity and visa page requirements: The passport must have a validity of no less than six months, and additionally, there must be at least two blank visa pages.
- Use of old visas: If the basic information in the new and old passports is the same and the purpose of visiting China has not changed, you may enter China with both new and old passports. However, if there are any differences, you will need to reapply.
- Children of Chinese descent born in the USA: Need to apply for a visa or travel document depending on the specific circumstances.
- Mail handling: The embassy does not provide mail handling services; you must submit materials in person or through a representative.
- Visa approval differences: Consular officers decide the visa type, number of entries, validity period, and duration of stay based on the application.
